What is Pet Dander?

Posted by Innovus Pharma on Jan 25th 2018

Tiny particles of skin from your favorite animal could be what’s causing your allergies to go into overdrive. If you’re experiencing congestion, watery eyes, sneezing, coughing, eczema or a runny nose, this could be due to pet dander.

Skin particles from animals with feathers or fur could cause an allergic reaction. These particles become increasingly mobile on dry skin and are present in animal urine and saliva. After an animal goes for a walk or grooms its fur, it adds to the protein. This particular protein causes a reaction in people with allergies, when their immune systems believe that they’re under attack.

Pet dander is so lightweight with textured edges, that it has the perfect composition to attach itself to anything. It is present on clothes, hair, skin and fabric, and is easily transferred and nearly impossible to avoid.

Using a nasal spray like FlutiCare® will help with symptoms associated with pet dander and other allergens. It is prescription strength and available over the counter, and will help the inevitable symptoms triggered by the inescapable allergens.
